In 2012 the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. awarded the 100 Black Men of Central Virginia the offering from the celebration and worship service.  Each year a recipient is selected based upon their local community involvement and we believe that the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. would be proud of the impact that the 100 Black men are having on Black male college students.
