Scholars

The Scholars Program is designed to help motivate our high school students and prepare them for success both inside and outside of the classroom. We pair high schoolers with successful black adults in a mentor-mentee relationship.
The program highly encourages academic success and rewards outstanding achievemnt with college scholarships and smaller awards like invitations to University of Virginia athletic events and other attractions.
The members affiliated with this program are commemorated and honored with a scholarship recognition event such as a breakfast, luncheon or dinner. We frequently bring in important guest speakers at these events. Past speakers include University of Virginia Head Football Coach Mike London and Althletic Director Craig Littlepage.
