100 Black Men of Central Virginia

Scholarship Application/College Attendance Verification

 

The 100 Black Men of Central Virginia will present scholarships to graduating seniors. In order to qualify to receive scholarship funds, students must:

  • Attend the Scholars Recognition Breakfast. Please confirm attendance ASAP.

  • Have a cumulative 3.0 grade point average or higher based on his high school transcript.

  • Have participated in 100 BMOCV activities/Group Mentoring events

  • Provide a listing of 100 BMOCV activities attended, including years of participation.

  • Show evidence of continuing his education beyond high school.

    • A letter of enrollment from his high school guidance counselor verifying that he has been accepted in an institution of higher learning and will enroll in the fall classes.

    • Or, a copy of a college admission letter for Fall enrollment.

    • Or, an official letter of acceptance from the college Registrar.

  • Submit a 400-500 word essay detailing the factors contributing to your current and future success.

  • Send a picture (electronically) to be published in the program.

 

In order to apply for the National Scholarship, all mentees, Collegiate 100 students, or 100 Black Men chapter affiliates must apply via the Constant Contact scholarship link shown below.
